Grey Gnome Games has launched the Kickstarter for the third game in its small box series: Virgin Seas. Their previous games have been a big hit here at Engaged Family Gaming so we have high hopes for this one!
Virgin Seas is a tile placement area control game with some light strategic combat elements tacked one it. This might sound a little complicated, but it really isn’t. Each player uses an identical fleet deck comprised of islands and different colored ships and takes turns placing them on the playing field.
The goal is to place down the island cards and make sure you control the most ships surrounding them at the end of the game. Each island is worth a set number of points so you’ll be evaluating where to put your ships based on what islands are on the table each turn.
Grey Gnome Games has included a gameplay video on their Kickstarter page that goes into significant detail through a gameplay walkthrough. Take a look below!
Grey Gnome Games doesn’t do long kickstarters. As of the time of this writing there are only twelve days left before it is all done. Make sure you head over to the Kickstarter page right away and back it before you miss out on the first print run!
