Microsoft brought a lot of games to their press conference on June 15th. One of the more intriguing announcements they made was a game called ReCore. We know very little about the game aside from what we were shown in the trailer below and the developer.
As you can see the game seems to feature a young girl who lives in a desolate world alongside robots that all seems to be powered by sphere shaped “cores.” The cores look like they are power sources AND computers that house the memories of these robots.
ReCore is coming from a developer named Keiji Inafune alongside Comcept and Armature Studios. These are some big names in gaming that many parents won’t necessarily know.
Keiji Inafune is the man behind Mega-Man who has recently parted ways with Capcom to help create the upcoming Mighty No. 9.
Comcept is a development studio that is currently helping Inafune complete Mighty No. 9, but is also going to be devoting resources to help ANOTHER wayward japanese developer named Koji Igarashi to create a game called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Armature Studios is a studio that is made up of former Metroid Prime developers.
Needless to say, all of these people have an amazing pedigree so we can rest assured that the game is in good hands.
