THQ Nordic announced today that they would be re-releasing a slew of older games based on Nickelodeon properties. The list is fairly diverse ranging from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Invader Zim to the Rugrats. This is all a part of their mission to make sure older games are given a new life on modern platforms.
They didn’t give concrete details yet, but they did say that news would be available “in the coming months.” All we have is a list of Nickelodeon properties that is bereft of any additional context. We don’t know which games will be released, their price, OR their release timing. This is an interesting choice because, while many of these games will be remembered fondly through the lense of nostalgia, very few of them could be considered “good.” We will have to see how all of this plays out.
The games are:
- Avatar: The Last Airbender
- Back At The Barnyard
- Catscratch
- Danny Phantom
- El Tigre
- Invader Zim
- Jimmy Neutron
- My Life As A Teenage Robot
- Rocket Power
- Rocko’s Modern Life
- Rugrats
- SpongeBob SquarePants
- Tak And The Power Of JUJU
- The Fairly OddParents
- The Ren & Stimpy Show
- The Wild Thornberrys
